The ISPN supports different scholarships each year, in order to provide the younger generation, and mainly those from low and lower-middle income countries (per World Bank classification), with an opportunity to increase their knowledge in the field of pediatric neurosurgery.

Applications are now open for the following scholarships:

ISPN Meeting Attendance Scholarship

The ISPN Meeting Attendance Scholarship was established to encourage younger people from low and lower-middle income countries to attend & present at the ISPN Annual Meeting. This Scholarship is an amount of USD 2,000 to cover travel expenses and registration to the ISPN 2018 Annual Meeting to take place from 7-11 October 2018 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
(The scholarship will be transferred upon attending the meeting)

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be professionally involved in pediatric neurosurgery, under 35, submit an abstract for ISPN 2018, come from a low or lower-middle income country and not have received previous ISPN support.

Fred Epstein Scholarship

In addition to the ISPN Meeting Attendance Scholarship, additional scholarships of USD 1,000 are now available to attend ISPN 2018.  To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be professionally involved in neurosurgery for children, submit an abstract for ISPN 2018, preferably be under 35, and not have received previous ISPN support.

The deadline to apply for the Fred Epstein Scholarship is 2 April 2018.

Visiting Fellowship

The ISPN supports two categories of Visiting Fellowships every year. The Visiting Fellowship in an international unit supports a trainee from a low or lower-middle income country to spend a period of time in an internationally recognized unit to acquire unique experience/surgical technique.

The Visiting Fellowship in a developing country’s unit supports a trainee from a developed country to spend a period of time in a developing country’s unit to gain knowledge about pediatric neurosurgery conditions not usually seen in developed countries.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you need to be professionally involved in pediatric neurosurgery, under 35 at the time of the fellowship, come from or go to a low or lower-middle income country and not have received any previous ISPN support.

The deadline to apply for a visiting fellowship is 31 August 2018.
