The mission of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) is to advance the treatment of children with illnesses of the nervous system by “encouraging the ethical transmission and exchange of neuroscientific information and techniques“.

The ISPN is strongly committed to this and its members commit over $50,000 or $150 per member each year to support this mission. These funds are used to send faculty to courses in emerging regions of the world where trained pediatric neurosurgeons are scarce, grant scholarships to surgeons from emerging nations to attend the annual ISPN scientific meeting and to support the educational arm of the website.

The Education Committee selects the sites for the Educational Courses offered by the ISPN, coordinates the selection of the faculty for the courses and works with the Communication Committee to provide content for the website. It is our belief that by these efforts we will establish a global standard for the care of children with surgical illnesses within their nervous systems.

ISPN strives to hold Educational Courses across the globe. If you wish to host an ISPN Educational Course in your country, please review the guideline >>
