Welcome Message
Dear Friends,
It is our great pleasure and privilege to invite you to Goa, India for the 39th annual meeting of the International society for Pediatric neurosurgery being held from October 16th to 20th, 2011.
India is a colorful, vast continent with many hues of ancient culture and striving to be a modern 21st century nation. You will be greeted with beautiful landscapes and heritage sites, as well as efficient travel and hotel arrangements.
Goa is an island on the south west coast of India and was a Portuguese colony until the 1960s before its merger with India and is internationally known for its beaches, temples and churches, and wonderful cuisine. It is well connected from all the metropolitan centers of India and directly with some European, Asian and middle- east destinations for convenient travel. There are luxurious hotels and resorts and there is also provision for budget accommodation.
The successful meeting of ISPN in India at Mumbai in 1989 generated a lot of interest in pediatric neurosurgery in this country and we now have a group of many enthusiastic colleagues looking forward to host you again after a long gap.
The organizing committee will put together an interesting program for you and your families to sample the local culture as well as enjoy the natural beauty of this island over and above the sumptuous scientific program!
I hope you will come in great numbers to contribute your scientific knowledge and take part in the enjoyment offered by Goa together.
Chandrashekhar Deopujari
Chairman of ISPN2011 organizing committee
